Milwaukee shouldn't match. Jabari doesn't fit with Giannis like, at all. I second this. The main problem tho, and I’m sure Big Dawg Glenn Robinson would agree, they blew their cap early on Ersan. For Giannis’ sake, I would have liked them to have waited. Could have maybe snagged a young guy who would produce now and grow with them rather than Ersan. My take would be way different had they not royally fucked up every draft since Giannis We're just going to sit here and pretend that the Bucks didn't just draft Donte the GOAT DiVincenzo? Ok.

My take would be way different had they not royally fucked up every draft since Giannis I'm glad they didn't give all that money to Jabari. He doesn't fit with Giannis, and there have been rumblings that he and Giannis don't like each other (sounds mainly to be jealousy coming from Parker). He's also been a sieve on the defensive end and pairing him with LaVine in Chicago is going to be a nightmare and teams will be able to exploit those match-ups nightly. The really only bothersome thing that came with the Parker situation, is they didn't have enough foresight to see he didn't fit with Giannis and move on from him sooner. There was already a few instances of their play styles not meshing but they were too stubborn to move on from him because they wanted so desperately to see the Giannis/Parker/Middleton trio on the court at the same time (Which up until the second half of last season, there wasn't much playing time together for those three on the court at the same time.) I wasn't a fan of the Ersan signing at 12:01am for almost the entire MLE, but I think he'll be good for the Bucks and he already has experience in Mike Budenholzer's system. The more spacing you can put around Giannis, the better, and they have done that with their recent acquisitions.

$20million per year is heartening to see from Chicago. I think that figure shows they're willing to commit to Jabari and give him a prominent role, but the 2nd Year Team Option shows they're only willing if Jabari can stay healthy which is fair enough.
I hope Jabari balls out this year and I have to throw the max at him next off season!

I don't how I would feel about trading DeRozan prime years for 1 year of Kawhi Leonard after coming back from injury.

Kawhi Danny Green for DeMar, Poetlt and a protected 1st rounder not bad Good for you guys that you kept OG who was rumored to be in the deal— what year is the 1st/protections, or too early to tell?

Bad for you next year when Kwahi leaves. This won't be a PG13 outcome.

Bad for you next year when Kwahi leaves. This won't be a PG13 outcome. Honestly demar, lowry and Ibaka are free agents in two years. I think the plan was, win now and blow it up after the two year mark. massi rather rebuild than build around Lowry and demar. I’m just pumped that we didn’t trade OG and the other young guys we had.

His uncle filled his head with bullshit about how Kawhi, the quiet superstar, should’ve got more shoe money from Nike, needed a bigger market, etc. And now he cost him a ton of money on his next deal.

Kawhi is very quickly becoming toxic with his bitching— at some point he has to play and not have a tantrum like a brat when he doesn’t get his way

I don't see how Kawhi saying he won't play in Toronto helps anything. What is the strategy here? Him not playing doesn't help his brand out?

I'm not sure how you can act like this is anything other then a steal for Toronto. You instantly have the best team in the East and a chance to go to the finals. The lineup of Lowry, Green, Kawhi, OG, and Siakim has the potential to be devastating defensively. They gave up so little to get a top five NBA player.
And even if Kawhi leaves next season it's not the end of the world. The Lowry and DeRozan core wasn't going to take you to the finals. They're able to get off the DeRozan contract and will be able to do a complete rebuild if necessary.
Also I think it'll be really hard for Kawhi to leave Toronto. Leaving a 60 plus win team is tough and Toronto is a great city that will accept him as soon as he gets there.
The deal makes no sense for the Spurs long term. DeRozan isn't making them competitive in the West. They're just delaying the necessary rebuild until Pop retires.
