Current = 83 Suggested = 79
Averaging 10 ppg, 2.7 rbds, 2.8 assists, and 1 stl on 46%. He is still a decent three point shooter, but watching him over the course of the season is enough for me to know he is not an 83. He is still an okay defender, but he's noticeably slower than in years past. He has had to deal with two team changes this year, so that is why I am not going even lower.

I was hesitant to change him earlier but he's clearly declined. 78

You can't judge Hill based on ppg and counting stats. Hill leads the team in net and offensive rating with an offensive rating of 117.7 with a net of 8.8. He is a vital part of the Cavs and a good amount of their struggles this playoff have come imo because he isn't 100%.

What happened in game one? This thread also has nothing to do with the cavs and the playoffs.

He got hurt in Game 1 off of a screen and hasn't been the same since then despite playing through it for Games 2 and parts of 3.
I know it has nothing to do with the Cavs, but it's completely unfair to judge him on points/rebounds/assists when he's not really asked to do any of those on his current team. I'm just pointing out that his team has played literally their best basketball of the season with him on the floor. I'm sorry for trying to add context to an arbitrary system. My apologies .

That's fine, but those stats do go into this arbitrary system. No one is worth an 83 if all they do is play mediocre defense and nothing else. Based on your statement, you are saying he should be an 83 because of his defense and ball movement. I don't see it at all.

I haven't really watched the Cavs much this year, only watched one game this series with Indiana so far, but I don't see Hill being any worse. Like Mark Price says, team situation and how a player is used will dictate their output. Like Westbrook is obviously the definition of empty stats (although some of his stats suck), guys like GHill are willing to sacrifice personal output if it means winning.

You guys really think George Hill is the same caliber player as Khris Middleton, Gary Harris, Donovan Mitchell and Lou Williams now? That's what he's rated currently. Because no matter what he's sacrificing it seems obvious to me that he's not close to that.

I just thought that his counting stats didn't show the whole story. Whether he's an 83 or not isn't my decision. I just thought pointing out that his team plays their best with him on the floor was worth noting when you consider his overall rating.
