yeah if this surprises anyone they've not been paying attention.
Our (both US and UK) mass media is 100% a mechanism of control and propaganda in the interests of the media owners and their powerful friends, mostly in business but also, by extension, in government.

Who even watches msnbc? My crazy uncle does but I've never seen a normal person regularly watch it. It's marketed as the liberal version of fox, ie propaganda. And it's much less entertaining than fox is

Many years ago I went in search of a good independent news organisation and found Democracy Now. People can fairly say that they have a bias against the Establishment but that's exactly the bias media organisations are supposed to have lol. Democracy Now is staffed by journalists who have put themselves in the line of fire to report the truth (both literally and figuratively), so you know there's that level of credibility: when someone is willing to put themselves at personal risk to report a story, I feel like it's a good indicator that story is true.

I've watched a few democracy now videos and have seen them give a huge platform to Cenk Uygur who denies the Armenian genocide. I sort of stopped taking them seriously after that

This analysis (albeit by RT America) is on point: This was kinda interesting but there are a couple problems with it. For one RT is literally a Russian state sponsored Propaganda source. Its pretty hilarious for Putin's news to be talking about journalistic freedom and stolen elections when Russia murders journalists they don't like, there's videos of ballot stuffing all over the country and Putin's only legitimate adversary for the Presidency wasn't allowed to run because of trumped up charges. Its hypocrisy to the highest degree. On the content itself, the guy being interviewed is sort of a nut. He says he was involved in Jill Stein's election recount effort and Jill Stein is certifiably crazy. He says that Trump didn't actually win the swing states but that the election was stolen from Hillary because the ballots are counted electronically?? He literally doesn't present any evidence other than that. Then this guy goes on to say that Republicans helped Hillary steal the primary from Bernie Sanders for some reason? Like What?!? LOL. GOPers hated Hillary more than anything that makes 0 sense and again he has no evidence for this. Then there's also the JFK assassination conspiracy theories that this guy peddles throughout the interview. I don't know a ton about this in particular but its usually a pretty good indicator of lunacy. I think its an interesting topic but TBH this video sounded like either propaganda designed to misinformed people and spread fear or two crazy conspiracy nutters who genuinely believe all this crazy shit. Edit: And I didn't even mention that these guys compare the current American press to the Nazi press. They're saying the current US media is as bad as Goebbels. Like cmon, you can dislike the media but that's just an absurd comparison not rooted in any sort of reality.

From my understanding RT has amazing reporting on literally everything as long it doesn't have anything to do with Russia.

I wouldn't call Jill Stein "certifiably crazy".

I wouldn't call Jill Stein "certifiably crazy". theslot.jezebel.com/jill-stein-thinks-there-are-real-questions-about-vaccin-1784533166If you are anti-vax, skeptical of vaccines or pander to the anti-vax crowd you are nuts in my book Here's the quote so you don't have to read the whole article: "As a medical doctor, there was a time where I looked very closely at those issues, and not all those issues were completely resolved,” Stein said. “There were concerns among physicians about what the vaccination schedule meant, the toxic substances like mercury which used to be rampant in vaccines. There were real questions that needed to be addressed. I think some of them at least have been addressed. I don’t know if all of them have been addressed."

I don't agree with her stances on vaccines but there are lots of people you know and love that you don't consider crazy that have opinions weirder than that you just don't know about. I don't think you can label someone as crazy based on a couple of political stances. Craziness is something that runs a little deeper than that. Also, happy 4/20

Some political stances are disqualifying IMO. Agree to disagree Billy. Happy 4/20 to you as well

I think you guys are getting off track. Corporatists within the Democratic party are the only reason we have Trump instead of Bernie.
