Current Rating: 83
2018 Stats (27.5 mpg):
13.9p / 10.8r / 0.9a / 1.9b / 0.8s / 1.4to on 65.2/0.00/56.0 %'s
Had a sweet-ass playoff game, but I'm not calling on that to boost his rating.
Honestly, I'd be happy if he was anywhere between 83-85 (DeAndre Jordan got up to an 85 - still there now I think - and Clint is fairly similar). But, he NEEDS to be updated on his FG rating and Dunk Rating. Can maybe take all from Dunk and put on FG and it might be fine, I don't know, haven't looked that closely, but he has a 17 FG which we have learned is just too low. Same type of thread for Drummond as far as FG rating goes.
Suggested: FIX FG / DUNK. Could maybe use a boost but I don't think it's crazy to leave him at 83 for now either if others think he's fine there. I'll vote 85 b/c I love his game but I can't imagine him ever going any higher unless he changes something in his game or fixes his FT, something like that.

82.
Honestly he’s a a center without a diverse skill set. He can set picks and catch lobs and defend pretty damn well but he’s also being spoon fed buckets by not 1 but 2 of the top 5 playmakers in the game today.
Also surrounded by shooters and doesn’t have to compete with anyone for rebounds or space down low.
Seems like a player in the prototype of DeAndre, Drummond, Gobert, except he’s not as good of a rebounder as DeAndre or Drummond o as good of a defender as Gobert (not that he’s bad at either).

He is already 93 for Inside Scoring... which is literally the highest in the league, except for LeBron. I discussed in this thread how Jokic and Towns are so dominant in D5 with a combined 165ish for Inside Scoring + Field Goal. It will be hard to find the right balance for a guy like Capela who is in reality limited on offense but shoots a high percentage. He definitely needs a change because he shoots 39% in D5, but we need to learn more about the game before we turn him into a simgod. Also, overall, I think we need to do some more testing before "fixing" all of these bigs. IIRC, an 85 rated big man with factory-default ratings in Live 06 used to be dominant. Like very few bigs were above an 82. I remember Jermaine O'Neal was an 85 and he was a top 3 big at the time. We have tended to treat all players equally when it comes to handing out overall ratings, but the game was not designed that way. The game was designed for guards to be rated higher than bigs, with only elite big men cracking the 85 mark.

Yea I wouldn't plan on taking his Inside any higher, perhaps lower (have to look in depth), and I don't plan on taking FG THAT high. My super-preliminary thought is to take these types of guys into the 50-60's if they don't have a shot, but in order to balance it somewhat and try to get their FG% somewhat normalized. We can always adjust later as we find out how it affects things. So, appropriate Inside rating with a 50-60 (like, probably IN the 50's?) but I'm totally open to suggestions or testing, always.

We have a range category. Some testing should be done to see how it affects guys like Clint who have high FG% but a range of like 8 feet.

I feel like that should be lower for bigs across the board and might not be here in d5
