I thought it might be fun if some of us proposed some real NBA trades and got feedback on here. I do this all the time on twitter but those people suck, D5ers are much more knowledgable. I'll go first. Obviously this would have to be completed after the season ends so its 18-19 salaries.
New York Knicks trade: Baker, Ron $ 4,544,400.00 $ 5,680,500.00 (TO) Kanter, Enes $ 18,622,514.00 Mudiay, Emmanuel $ 4,294,480.00 O'Quinn, Kyle $ 4,256,250.00 Thomas, Lance $ 7,119,650.00 $ 7,583,975.00 (non-guaranteed) Williams, Troy $ 1,544,951.00 2019 2nd round pick
Total: $40,382,245 *1.25 = $50,477,806
Charlotte Hornets trade: Walker, Kemba $ 12,000,000.00 Batum, Nicolas $ 24,000,000.00 $ 25,565,217.00 $ 27,130,434.00 (PO) Williams, Marvin $ 14,087,500.00 $ 15,006,250.00
Total: $50,087,500
Hornets dump the awful Batum and Marvin contracts, saving MJ tons of money while Knicks get a hometown kid in Kemba who can be a long term partner with Kristaps.
What do you guys think?

Knicks should just keep tanking and rebuild. The last time they tried a win now method with Rose, Noah and other vets it went terribly. Get young guys and compete by the time LBJ retires.

You know Dolan doesn't have the patience for that. Especially now that his cronies are running the team again. Just look at the terrible hardaway contract from last summer

Maybe it's because I still like Batum a bit (although yes that's a big contract)...
But I feel like the Hornets would say no? I like it as a Knicks fan
