In real life players are signed to teams in July and August and can be traded again on December 15th of the regular season.
Currently here at D5 players are also signed to teams in July and August but we wait longer, until December 15th in-game (22nd January in real life), before they are eligible to be traded.
I propose moving the date to December 15th in-real-life, or just the start of the D5 season since the two dates are almost always very close to one another, because the length of wait will be the same as in real life.

This makes no sense because it's not about time waited, but games played.
The point of the rule is to keep people from signing players and then immediately trading them. If this change is processed I guess we can all just sign players and trade them before the season starts now, seems weird.

Maybe a compromise? Move it up to December 1 in-game? Or sometime in Mid-November?

Or New Year's Day (real-life)?

If I moved the date to the first day of sims then a player could be signed and never actually be used which, like you say, sort of defeats the purpose.

Yea for the record I agree with Billy but also think if we move the date up it will help with activity but still get the spirit of the rule.

Don't move it. It is really hard to wait but it felt more real when I did my trade with Brooklyn.

I will also officially mark myself down in the "dont move it" camp. I don't have a problem with waiting, myself.

Yep, having heard what you guys have said, it does seem better to keep the date where it is! Thanks for your input guys, backing off from this idea now.
