Steve Kerr ruled out Steph Curry for the first round of the playoffs "at least", and that's 4 weeks away. hmm!

JR Wiles - Isaiah Thomas out for the rest of the season. Sorry mate Chris Mullin - I get the feeling Steph Curry should be out. He's definitely out for the next 4 weeks and the Rotoworld website says "he is a question mark heading into the playoffs. Status: Out indefinitely."

Ian NobleEverything I have read says that Curry will be "re-evaluated" in 3 weeks, which from what I can gather would be approximately Game 1 of Round 1 of the playoffs. It doesn't look probable that he will play in Round 1 as most reports I've seen have said probably round 2 is more likely. With that being said, he could still possibly return for Round 1, which would mean he would've missed 3 weeks, maybe 4. If he returns for Round 2, depending on how long the Round 1 series goes, he could've missed anywhere from 4-5 weeks. The D5 injury guidelines state the following: "During the real-life NBA regular season a player is considered injured at D5 when their expected recovery time is 6 weeks or more from the start of their injury. If a player's recovery time exceeds 6 weeks but they were not added to the injury list, they will be added to the injury list until healed. "Out indefinitely" players are assessed based on other websites reports of an injury or not included on the injury list until a more conclusive analysis is given." I haven't seen anything that says Curry is definitively out 6 weeks or more and I haven't seen anything that gives a conclusive analysis of how long he will be out. If you put him on the Injury list and he only misses, say 4 weeks, then based on the above guidelines he should've never been out. I would suggest after his re-evaluation if they definitively say he's going to be out another 3 weeks or more (which would bring him to the 6 week cut off you've laid out) to then put him on the injury list until he can return. I'm obviously biased in this situation so do what you feel is right, but based on the guidelines laid out here, I don't think he should be added to the injury list. At least not yet.

I don't have an opinion on this but Steve Kerr said curry is definitely not playing round 1. So he's out until at least then end of that series

He's out and it will be 6 weeks minimum. Why let your guy miss time later. Get it over with now. Your guys have had luck so far. Who cares about the reg season or if u don't win the #1 Seed or the league's best record. You will prob win it all anyhow. At least this gives u time to find a rotation just in case he does not return for some odd reason.
Don't let this be another Milwaukee Bucks situation like it was 2 seasons ago. Kerr says no rd 1... might not be rd 2 if the team is easily blowing teams out.
Take the injury like the rest of us.

Embiid's got an 'orbital fracture', yikes. Rotoworld saying 2 - 4 weeks though for now. Goddamn that must have really hurt though.

There's only 6 or 7 games until the end of the season though. He only had a mild strain.

There's only 6 or 7 games until the end of the season though. He only had a mild strain. So say it is worse than noted. Say that 6 games remain in the NBA season. His team makes the playoffs. Will he play in the playoffs or not? I agree that certain situations require different options, but how does our league stay fair to other Gms fighting for the playoffs when there is more left of our season than 6 games. It' just like Kyrie and Curry... Both should no be playing in oiur league... but are They? Of course. Why? Because of who the GM is. It' not fair. But what do I know.

The rule is that players are only taken out when their injury definitively will or, if undetermined, typically takes 6 or more weeks to recover from. Kyrie is on Portland, GM is Brandon Roy. Are you saying that the league is favoring Brandon Roy? Who just lost PG this off-season? Because they certainly didn't favor him then...

Yes both those guys after all said and done will miss more than the rule to be placed on the list.
As for Dennis S. I don't care, but the other 2 are being given special privilege for no good reason.
