Current: 76 Proposed: 85
15.7ppg / 10.3rpg / 6.0apg
His only weakness is his jump shooting and he's scoring inside better than I thought he would.
Simmons is currently averaging 10.3 rebounds per game, good for 14th in the entire NBA, but these are his rebounding ratings currently: Offensive Rebounding: 50 Defensive Rebounding: 73
Simmons is also 14th in assists per game with 6.0apg and he's a point-god with elite vision, but these are his in-game ratings: Offensive Awareness: 71 Passing: 76
Also his inside scoring rating is 68, but that's where he scores most his buckets.
Last night he put up 18pts, 10reb and 8ast against a good Raptors team. Ben's clearly going to have some triple doubles this year and I think it makes sense he gets a big bump from 76, he already looks like a leader and an all star calibre player imho.

Too soon? Seems pretty obvious he's going to continue producing at this level so long as he's healthy.

If he put up these same stats all year he'd still get a 80 from me

Otto Porter is similarly young and rated an 80. His 2016/17 averages compared to Simmons this year:
Porter: 13.4ppg / 6.4rpg / 1.5apg on 51%FG/43%3PT/83%FT Simmons: 15.7ppg / 10.3rpg / 6.0apg on 42/0/55
I get that Simmons sucks at shooting but he blitzes Porter otherwise.
But whatever, I guess I'll just have to wait.

Should I dig up quotes from you about Whiteside after a few games?

if Simmons makes the all star team this year I'm coming back to haunt this thread I wouldn't be surprised if he did. The point is though that we can't just rate players based on what we think they'll do vs what they've done. I feel like you know this already

Too early. I'd go like, 78. The stats, in this incredibly SSS, are worth more, but the sample is the issue. I don't think this is the case but we've seen absolutely mediocre players pop out of the streetball leagues and have 2-5 good/great games in the past.
Give it at least a damn month, before we even let people start threads on most players, IMHO.

It's funny how logical and straightforward Ian Noble is with other players compared to how emotionally invested and attached he is with his own players We clearly need to wait on Simmons like we would with anyone else.

Simmons is like a younger taller, rondo. The sixers sure have cornered the market on piss poor shooting #1 picks
