I didn't buy NBA2k this year because I don't want the addiction, but I just had a good rummage through the subReddit and it seems like it's gone all NBA Live on us (ie. it's become the monopoly and got lazy and greedy)? What's your thoughts guys?

It went that way in 2012 with the VC. Haven't bought it since.

I haven't bought the game in years because I found I would just get frustrated whenever I played. The game was built around these pre-designed animations that the players would get stuck in so the game just felt unresponsive. Players were also idiots and never moved like real basketball players. That made the gameplay too iso driven and clunky imo. I haven't touched the series since NBA 2k15 though, so maybe it's different now.
That's the actual guts behind the game, if they've fixed that in recent years, then they've fucked up everything else. It's now apparently a full priced pay-to-win microtransaction shit show like what you'd expect in a F2P mobile game.

I felt like 2k13 was my favourite. No bullshit storylines force-fed to you. You can buy VC but you can do well without it. I wonder if there's a mod on NLSC to make it up-to-date.
As for 2k18, I'll give it a miss! Good video Alex!

They ruined MyCareer with the VC for haircuts and no difficulty multiplier stuff but the gameplay is much better this year imo and they did a nice job rebooting myteam, lots more to do. The graphics are also noticeably better and dribbling actually looks realistic now
