I did accept. Not that it makes a difference anymore.

No one knows where that pick will end up, that pick may be a huge bust or a huge winner. We dont even know how good that draft class will be. Washington is going to have a good pick in this year and he has cap space to sign free agents. trading Hibbert for Harris may cause his tank to be even better because he has no center at all. This trade is not bad enough to reject Picks are always more valuable than the players they become, so while that pick may be a bust, it isn't yet. It is a pick. And it is Washington's pick and while it may be very easy to grab a playoff spot in the East, his team is very young and not all that good yet.

Which is the exact opposite reason of why Walt rejected this. His whole point is "2-3 of those picks might bust". The logic is flawed, because if you believe that, then you have to realize that 2020 pick is really likely to bust, which would've made Washington win this trade by a mile.

This trade is an example of where a pick could be top 3 protected and the trade would've worked . Therefore facilitating more trading/activity!

While true, my other reasoning was this trade doesn't really move the needle so why eat the cap and lose a future bargaining chip in a possibly crucial year for the wizards
