I do wonder whether any of those scoopy-layups would work in the NBA Probably not, but he still has a lot to work on. I think the biggest concern from these two exhibition games is how winded he’s become throughout a game; playing at 285 isn’t helping him, and he probably should cut to 265 at least to be better conditioned.

About a third of the way through the college basketball regular season, with conference play around the corner, and at the moment the race for the #1 pick appears to be Zion followed by a pack of RJ Barrett, Bol Bol, Cam Reddish, and fast riser Kevin Porter Jr of Southern Cal. Zion statistically is putting up a season that does not have a historical parallel— he currently has a PER of 43, and the closest ACC comp to his play in the last 30 years is Tim Duncan during his junior and senior seasons.

Yeah Zion is looking like a really interesting prospect. Really weak shooting prospects though might hold him back. Could see him being a bit of a Marcus Smart/Draymond Green on steroids type guy. Looking like he's got the highest floor easily.

Looking like he's got the highest floor easily. His FT shooting % isn’t abysmal, but agreed he seems like his shot will be a struggle and if he’s an average shooter at his peak, I think he could be a monster with how much space there is at the next Level. I’ve also been impressed by his defense, as he’s not only been a great team defender but is averaging 2 steals and 2 blocks per game

Zion is just breathtaking Jesus christ The anticipation to read the point guard's movement to get that steal... followed by the most absurd airtime and finesse on that dunk... jesus christ. That is legit one of the most impressive basketball plays I think I've ever seen.

The only question in his game is his shot. If he ever becomes a consistent three point shooter he'll become a perennial MVP candidate.

How is he on D or is he just so physically dominant at that level its hard to tell? Big time STOCK numbers (per 36, over 3 blocks and 1.5 steals) but he still needs to do better staying in his stance and being locked in consistently. Easily gets weakside blocks like nobodies business

Last zion post I promise I watched this game on and off, and Zion being his usual self aside, this was the best game from Cam Reddish the whole year. He looked like the #3 prospect he should be for this draft today.

Zion returns from his 5 game injury absence with authority:
13-13 FG, 29 pts, 14 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists, and a block vs Syracuse in the ACC tournament. Easily the best player on the floor and reinforcing it’s him and everybody else as far as prospects go this year
On a more somber draft note, Jaxson Hayes of Texas appeared to suffer a bad knee injury. Hopefully it isn’t too serious, but he was a projected top 10 prospect and aruguably the #1 draft eligible center

He's actually 17 now. #1 in the class of 2018. Here is RJ Barrett, the #1 player in the class of 2019. A 16 year old from Canada. He's our next superstar. I might tank for the 2020 draft to try and get him. Alex if you want Barret the Pacers will gladly take on that huge Harden contract to help you tank.

I got to be honest. Genuinely glad I'm not in this draft. This draft seriously seems like a 3 person draft and I don't even really know who the 3rd person is.

I got to be honest. Genuinely glad I'm not in this draft. This draft seriously seems like a 3 person draft and I don't even really know who the 3rd person is. I think it depends on what you want in that third slot. If you want a high volume scorer who doesn’t do much else, go Barrett. If you want two way guys who may be very high level role players to borderline 2nd options, go with Jarret Culver from TTU or Brandon Clarke from Zaga. After that, it’s all up to what do you want I think there’s a lot of quality role player depth in this class, or specialist types, but it’s definitely not last years group

Even with all of Zion's strengths I don't see him as this 100% prospect everyone else sees. There is a very real chance Barrett, Morant or someone else ends up better than him.

This draft class is insanely weak. There is opportunity to rise for lesser known prospects.

This draft class is insanely weak. There is opportunity to rise for lesser known prospects. I disagree. This is a draft where majority of the prospects will be wrongly evaluated.
