smh thats not how it should work and you know it. Other teams wanted him and would start him, your offer to "start" for your team put you over the top, and now you put him on the block without stipulation right after signing
you stole this player from the magic and cleveland who would've actually used him, now he has no control over his destiny because he believed something you said.

Since Donatas was signed in the off season that just happened he can't be traded until Dec 15th in-game-time anyway. @riogho Intangibles like this do tend to add-up. If a GM signs players merely to trade them that doesn't go wholly unnoticed by the player agents and it might indeed come back to bite you in the ass one day.

He is starting.............. Posting a depth chart a month before season tip-off doesn't equal starting a player. Maybe, I am just bitter because we (Magic) had a horrible off-season but if we got Motiejunas, he wouldn't be in our trade block. Not after we promised him a starting position for next season.

There's a section on Player Promises in OSFA Rules. dynasty5ive.proboards.com/post/9868Updated: If a player is promised a certain role during contract negotiations (such as a starting lineup position) and this promise is not fulfilled, the player may seek a trade from the team he joined. The team's GM will be warned that the player is unhappy with his situation and to rectify it. If a month passes and nothing is done, the GM is given 1 month in which to trade the player. If that month passes and the player has not been traded, the player is benched onto the Injured Reserve indefinitely and a contract buyout will be reached, leaving the player to join free agency.
