It sucks that Aminu went out with a season-ender before he even played a game for me, but Walt got Redick on a nice contract that I don’t mind taking off his hands. Welcome to the team JJ!

I remember paying Reddick like an allstar for two years and when I tried to get him on a bargain he said no and went to Walt. Now Walt trades him.

Sure, let's say that. Or, my star player got injured and I sent JJ to a team with a better chance to win.

Theoretically I could have used picks or other pieces to entice a non-contender to clear the cap, Hana.

I wonder why you did not do that. You wonder why I didn't include picks while trying to rebuild my team in order to move JJ to a less-competitive team? It's pretty damn obvious.

Thanks. I think it stung a little b/c I've generally stuck with my guys overall. I signed JJ explicitly to help me get a final year or two out of this core, but with Blake's injury while his contract is expiring - I need to make moves and start clearing things out, unfortunately. This was not the plan. I've been one of the competing teams for a while and I don't think this year it makes any sense for me at all, now that Blake is out.

I wanted to keep my picks since Blake's injury is going to tank my season on it's own, so as a smart manager it only makes sense, imo, to make the "best" out of a bad situation. If I'm going to sink into pick 15-20 and get obliterated by Denver in the playoffs, I might as well try to sink into the lottery instead. Why would I trade AWAY picks to send JJ to a non-contending team? Your conspiracy theory-laden nature is pretty odd sometimes, Hana.

Really wish Blake never went out for my Timberwolves and I wouldn’t have been forced to make this trade to my ex?-arch-enemy Josh Barber
