Current = 80 Suggested = 84
Current Stats: FG% 3P% FT% TRB AST STL BLK TOV PTS
53.3% 34.4% 74.4% 9.0 3.0 0.7 0.6 2.6 20.4
Could have posted this thread sooner, but thought I would wait. Randle is polar opposites on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
Positives: PPG up by over 4 from last season. assist, rbs and ft% are all up as well. Still working on developing a 3PT% as it is up 12% points from last year, but still isn't very good. Still a decent passer (though he is a turnover machine, so not sure how to handle rating wise).
Cons: Obviously anything defense related. Can't block or steal and his awareness is just plain bad. Turns the ball over way too much, though this is not new from prior years.
Putting a rating on Randle was actually hard. As I mentioned, his play on offensive is great, but his defense sucks. I didn't think he deserved an 85 because I believe that threshold is starting into a new tier of players and don't think he is quite there. I am sure Billy and Brian can give a better analysis of him, but these were my thoughts.

82 — he is a defensive black hole, as you mentioned, and to me that puts a real ceiling to his rating

80, not convinced he impacts winning yet. I've gone in depth on Julius before so I won't repeat myself

Will keep votes in mind for bad defensive player threads in the future. Thanks for voting.

I'll say 83. Yeah, he sucks at defense, but that doesn't really affect too many rating categories.

Coming from the Jabari Parker promoter. If Parker was averaging 20 and 9 you would rate him an 88

Coming from the Jabari Parker promoter. If Parker was averaging 20 and 9 you would rate him an 88 I haven't posted a thread on Jabari for over 2 years because he's been hugely underperforming. In fact the last Jabari thread was posted by you here and he got lowered to 77, and all I said was I'd be glad to re-sign him for cheaper Randle's putting up big stats for a team so bad they're 8th in the Lottery despite the presence of AD and Jrue, that's why I'm not impressed by him.

You’re entitled to your opinion. I will give credit because you did say the same for Davis during his thread.
