Sort of a big up/big down article about the players on my roster and my current assessment of their play overall.
88 Karl Anthony Towns - Nov 11 - 39pts, 19rbs (started off a currently ongoing streak of 16+ rb games)
On season: 20.6 ppg 11.9 rpg 2.2 apg on 48% FG 42% 3PT and 91!!!% FT
I'm so happy all this Butler drama is over. Towns is averaging 2 less minutes per game which makes up for slight counting stat dip and I think since he's shooting a similar amount of shots per game this year his efficiency hit has been mostly because he's traded 1 2pt shot for a 3 per game. Overall happy with his statistical output. I don't know if it'll result in a ratings increase but if his in sim 3pt shooting is lackluster he'll very likely be up for a stat reorganization to remedy that and we all know how much a 3 point shooting big can be worth.
84 Nikola Jokic - Oct 20 - 35 pts, 11 rbs, 11 asts, 4 stls, 1 blk on 100% shooting
On season: 17 ppg 10.3 rpg 6.9 apg 1.5 spg, 52% FG and 40% 3PT
Just to emphasize how amazing of a player Nikola Jokic is I'm going to list some stats and his current NBA rank in them.
Offensive Rebounds: 18
Defensive Rebounds: 19
Total Rebounds: 10
Assists: 6
Steals: 12
Rebounds Per Game: 17
Assists Per Game: 12
Player Efficiency Rating: 3
Defensive Rebound Percentage: 12
Total Rebound Percentage: 13
Assist Percentage: 9
Defensive Rating: 3 (Behind Whiteside and Giannis)
Offensive Win Shares: 8
Defensive Win Shares: 2
Win Shares: 4
Win Shares Per 48: 3
Box Plus Minus: 1
Offensive Box Plus Minus: 6
Defensive Box Plus Minus: 1
Value Over Replacement: 1 (Right above LeBron, Lillard, Giannis, Curry)
The ABSOLUTE craziest thing about these stats is that the only reason he's not in the top echelon of counting stats is simply because his impact has been so good he's playing sub-30 minutes a game. On a per 36 basis he's stealing 2+ balls a game and averaging more than a block.
I think that without a doubt Nikola Jokic is a top 10 player in the NBA and is absolutely in the argument for top 5. And even if top 5 overall is a stretch to an extent. I don't think anyone could argue there is a big more effective and important to his team than Nikola Jokic or Anthony Davis so at the very least he's top 2 in his position doing things that combo forwards like LeBron James and Larry Bird do/did.
Nikola is nearly averaging a triple double on a per 36 basis and I forsee a 91-92 rating in his future, even with suppressed athletic abilities he's got literally every skill in the NBA from handling, shooting, passing, stealing, rebounding, and one of the most cerebral IQ's in the game. But now that I think we can safely say that he's shaken the "white guy can't play defense cause he can't jump high" stereotype I can't see a reasonable argument against it.
Needless to say I'm ecstatic about Nikola Jokic in real life and D% and I'll be looking to buy his Jersey in real life because of it.
84 Tyreke Evans - No cool ass game of note
On season: 10 ppg 2.2 rpg 2.4 apg
Honestly really disappointing his new role with Indiana isn't as starting PG like he was with the depleted Memphis team last season. On a new team his shooting has taken a dip which will likely recover but with 3 other good guards on the roster in Collison, Dipo, and Cory Joseph and a really talented 3 in Bogdanovic the minutes have just flat been hard to come by. It'll be hard to argue to keep him at this current OVR if he doesn't pick up the shooting or work his way to more minutes. I could see him dropping to the 78-79 level if this continues.
81 Donovan Mitchel - Oct 24 - 38 pts, 5 rbs, 7 asts
On Season: 20.4 ppg 2.8 rpg 4.3 apg 1.6 spg 41% FG 30% 3PT% 83 FT%
Slight dip so far in efficiency and rebounds, but boosts to everything else so far. Personally and I doubt I'd be alone in this, I feel like those will average out. Perhaps a slight shift in overall team court positioning keeps his rebounding low though. I do think if his efficiency gets back to last season or better he's a lock for an 83-85 rating depending on how much he improves.
77 Marcus Smart - Nov 9 - 13 pts, 3 rbs, 10 asts, 2 stls
On Season: 5.6 ppg 2.1 rpg 4.1 apg 1.3 spg
Honestly on a per minute basis it's not as bad as it looks, he lost 6 minutes per game and didn't drop off much in anything except scoring. Which might not be the worst thing, his efficiency isn't getting any better than before so shooting less is good. Everything else on a per minute basis is improved even averaging less turnovers despite increases in assists. But sonofabitch can this dude not score. I once said if he gets his shot together he could be Tony Allen with a 3 point shot which I said would be an 87 rated player EASY. But he's basically better than Tony Allen but imagine if Tony Allen couldn't even make a layup.
75 Matthew Dellavedova - No games of note
No On Season Stats of Note
There are a whopping 10 guards on the Milwaukee Roster limiting Delly to 6 games @ 6 minutes a game. Can't do much with that and he hasn't. His 3pt shooting has improved in extremely limited sample size but you can't draw anything from that. I don't believe he's gotten markedly worse as a ball player but he has struggled with injuries in his time in Milwaukee so it's possible. Unfortunately as soon as rating threads start rolling I expect him to drop to 70-72 and in order to make room for Jonah Bolden might end up in a release thread unfortunately despite my personal fandom.
70 Davis Bertans - Nov 11 - 19 pts 4 rbs 1 ast 1 stl 1 blk
On Season: 6 ppg 2 rpg 1 apg
Here's a guy! This dude is just an insanely efficient shooting specialist. He's the power forward version of Kyle Korver. He'll definitely get an increase from 70, but he'll need a bigger minute share to open up to get much higher than a 73 or so.
76 E'Twaun Moore - Nov 4 - 31 pts, 4 rbs, 4 asts, 1 stl
On season: 16 ppg 2.1 rpg 2.3 apg and a CRAZY 56% FG and 49% 3PT
Was worried to see what would happen with all the roster turnover in New Orleans but was counting on more opportunity with Rondo out of town. He hasn't disappointed, likely his efficiency will come back to reality but at least he'll probably at least remain as effective and will hopefully deserve the 78 I tried to get him to last season.

Part 2
76 DeMarre Carroll - No games of note
On Season: 9 ppg 4 rpg 1 apg
Really innefficient but he's just getting back having played only 5 games. I'm confident he'll get back to his role player output. His numbers should go up though due to LaVert being out.
76 Jon Leuer - No games of note
No stats of note
Blake Griffin's arrival has really put a damper on his solid role play output.
78 JJ Reddick - Nov 11 - 22 pts 4 rebs 6 asts
On Season: 18 ppg 2.5 rpg 3 apg 43% FG
His 3pt % has taken a dip but I expect its gonna hit his standard 40% level over time. Overall he's been great. His defense is his downfall so I expect him to stay at his 78 ovr level. But I'm happy about that given the last two players I looked into.
68 Furkan Korkmaz - Nov 12 - 16 pts 4 rebs 55% FG 50% 3pt
On Season: 4.4 ppg 1.9 rpg 50% FG 42% 3pt
Honestly couldn't have been happier with these new stats, they came RIGHT before they traded for Jimmy Butler...so ummm crap. But overall he's not terrible, he's provably at least a 70 ovr, whether that's worth bother putting in a rating increase or not is up for debate.
75 Tomas Satoransky - None of Note
No stats of note
Actually not doing garbage though his efficiency has taken a bit of a hit. The Wizards adding Ramon Sessions essentially split Tomas's minutes in half. He's on an expiring deal so I'd be interested to see if he gets moved or leaves in FA. Rumor mill will be important to me in deciding whether I pick up his TO or not.
77 Ersan Ilyasova - Oct 29 - 19 pts 10 rebs 2 asts
On Season: 7.8 ppg 6.1 rpg 1.3 apg
Overall doing this with great efficiency on a stacked Milwaukee front court. I'll be the first to admit I had no idea that Brook Lopez signed here and was just draining 3 pointers. But this team goes as Giannis goes. Their success has to be flat attributed to just getting more 3 point shooting around him, luckily that's something that Ersan can do.
Dzanan Musa - No game of note
No stats of note
Averaging over 20 ppg in the G League, I'm interested to see if he can get a role on this team now that LaVert is out.
